In recognition of the importance of specific personal information and similar information, Yamada & Partners here by establishes and announces publicly its Basic Policy on Appropriate Handling of Specific Personal Information, etc. (“Basic Policy” hereinafter).

Yamada & Partners handles specific personal information and similar information within the scope of the following purposes of use:
(1) Administration related to withholding tax, social insurance, and worker’s compensation insurance for employees and others
(2) The preparation of statutory reports related to compensation, charges, etc.
(3) Year-end tax adjustment services and preparation of statutory reports based on subcontracting agreements etc.
(4) Tax agency services based on subcontracting agreements etc.
(5) Preparation of tax documents based on subcontracting agreements etc.
(6) Administration conducted in connection with the purposes of use under (4) and (5) above
3. Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, etc.
Yamada & Partners shall handle specific personal information and similar information appropriately in accordance with the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures, The Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Guidelines on Appropriate Handling of Specific personal Information (business operator edition), and other applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
4. Matters related to security measures
(1) Yamada & Partners shall establish rules on the handling of specific personal information and similar information for purposes of managing such information and preventing its leakage, loss, or damage. In addition, it shall conduct necessary and appropriate supervision of the employees it charges with the handling of specific personal information and similar information, to ensure that security measures are implemented appropriately.
(2) When entrusting the handling of specific personal information and similar information to third parties, it shall choose parties that maintain adequate security levels and specify in contracts and other documents that security measures shall be taken, as well as conducting necessary and appropriate supervision of such parties.
5. Continual improvements
Yamada & Partners shall make continual improvements to this Basic Policy and related rules to ensure that specific personal information is protected appropriately.
